The Cave has served both the wine enthusiast and novice looking to learn more about the wine-making process. The Spa has delivered tranquil spa experiences including The Couple\u2019s Spa Suite which is unique and unlike other spa experiences in Northeast Ohio. The Cave and Spa staff are excited and look forward to continuing their service to our guests long into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"ai-optimize-9\"><strong>The Cave\u2019s Successful First Year<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-10\">Opening its doors on March 21, 2023, The Cave has served over 60,000 ounces of wine this past year and over 20,000 guests. That comes out to be a lot of wine pours and tastings.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-28445 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/gervasivineyard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Cave-Blog.jpg\" alt=\"A small charcuterie cone and wine glasses set up for tasting at The Cave at Gervasi Vineyard.\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-11\">Other tidbits and interesting facts about The Cave\u2019s first year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-12\">The helped double GV\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gervasivineyard.com\/wine\/wine-club\/\">Wine Club Membership<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-13\">Offered 99 <a href=\"https:\/\/gervasivineyard.com\/cave\/semi-private-cave-tasting-table\/\">Cave Tasting Table experiences<\/a> .<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-14\">16,105 guests did a tasting flight at the Cave <em>(broken down by flight below)<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-15\">6,803 \u2013 Ticketed Tour tastings<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-16\">1,540 \u2013 Bello Rosso<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-17\">1,502 \u2013 Vintner\u2019s Select<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-18\">1,140 \u2013 Bella Dolce<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-19\">591 \u2013 Family Reserve<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-20\">483 \u2013 Darling Duos<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-21\">321 \u2013 Bella Bianco<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-22\">243 \u2013 Classic Tours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-23\">5,867 take-home bottles purchased.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-24\">3,849 glasses of wine were enjoyed in The Cave<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-25\">700 bottles of wine were purchased for on-site consumption.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-26\">1,001 Vasi Spreads were enjoyed while wine tasting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ai-optimize-27\">6,803 antipasti cups were enjoyed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/gervasivineyard.com\/reservation\/type\/cave-wine-tasting-barrel-room-tour\">Cave Tasting Tour<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-26687 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/gervasivineyard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/cave-blog4.jpg\" alt=\"Sommelier pouring wine during an intimate wine tasting experience at The Cave at Gervasi Vineyard.\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-28\">\u201cWhat an amazing year this has been!\u201d said Eric Rabin, Cave Operations Manager.\u00a0 \u201cFrom working on the initial concept of The Cave with Scott and Gretchen to exploring the experiences we could offer in the Cave. We then moved to choosing more of the details like the type of glassware we would use; the kind of food to offer; or what wines were featured in each flight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ai-optimize-29\">Then came the process of hiring and training new staff and getting to work through role-plays and skits to practice guest interaction.\u00a0 I am proud of how my team learned to adapt as we experienced the reality of day-to-day opening and operations. \u00a0The Wine and Spirits Ambassador team is so successful because all team members give 100% every day. We challenge each other to be better and constantly hold ourselves to the standards of Gervasi Vineyard.
